Services

Peter Sanborn Place is a supportive living community for elderly, disabled and/or handicapped individuals, located in Reading, MA. It is owned and operated by a non-profit board. We are a federally subsidized housing program with available on-site home care programs and services provided by Sanborn Home Care.

Sanborn Home Care is a non-profit agency with the goal of providing and securing a high array of professional home care services tailored to maintain the individual's specific needs, at an affordable cost.

Services include:

  • Case management and service coordination
  • Personal care: assistance with showering, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, feeding, mobility, and medication monitoring
  • Homemaking: housekeeping, shopping, and laundry
  • Medical escort: transportation to medical appointments
  • Companion and respite care
  • Chore service
  • Local errands and other miscellaneous tasks

Peter Sanborn Place and United Church Homes are active members of many state and local organizations: CHAPA, NEEHA, NEAHMA, AAHSA, MARSH, Eldercare Professional networking Group, Alzheimer's Association, Reading Rotary, Reading Affordable Housing Committee. Strong alliances and working partnerships have also been developed with Mystic Valley Elder Services, the Reading Housing Authority, Middlesex Visiting Nurses Association, Winchester Hospital, Hallmark Health, area Adult Day Programs, Department of Mental Health, area Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers...and many more.

The community is always welcome at Peter Sanborn Place and staff is available to assist and volunteer with activities of interest for seniors in the community. Annual events are open to the public including holiday open house, Easter Egg Hunt, and the Halloween Party.

Sanborn Home Care is the beneficiary of an upcoming golf tournament.
